How to use Create Anchor icon on OneNote page

Step 1:

Run Adobe Reader DC and open a PDF file.
Click the "Anchor to OneNote" icon on the Windows System tray. （In order to click on the icon to react, you need to move the Anchor to OneNote icon from the tray hidden area ^ to the common area of the tray.）

"Anchor to OneNote" will run OneNote and dock it.

Step 2:

Typing memo or comments. It will pop up a information dialog.

Linked Note Taking is running when OneNote is docked.

We'll automatically create links in your notes to the documents or webpages that you're looking at so you can easily find them later.

If you want to turn this off, go to File > Options > Advanced category.

Check the "Don't show me this again"
Click "OK"

Step 3:
Anchor icon appear on the left of your typing when Anchor success.

How to use Anchor Icon

Click on Anchor ICON

When the PDF file still not opened. Anchor ICON will open the PDF file with Adobe Reader DC and go to the correct page.
When the PDF file has opened with Adobe Reader DC. Anchor ICON will let the Adobe Reader DC jump to the correct page.

Click on the Anchor to OneNote on the Windows System tray

When just have 1 page relevant with current PDF in Adobe Reader, "Anchor to OneNote" will show it in OneNote window.
When have more than one relevant pages with current PDF in Adobe Reader DC, "Anchor to OneNote" will let OneNote list all of them on the bottom.

To use Anchor to OneNote. You need to enabled the follow Linked Notes options.

Allow creation of new Linked Notes.
Save document snippets and page thumbnail for better linking to the right place in the document.
